Design thinking is generally considered the ability to combine empathy for the context of a problem, creativity in the generation of insights and solutions, and rationality to analyze and fit solutions to the context to drive the innovative solutions. The Design Thinking approach articulates the possible and inspires the potential by balancing human desirability, technical feasibility, and business viability.

Design Thinking is an iterative innovative approach. It is not meant as a replacement for the organization’s standard development approaches; rather Design Thinking works inside of agile projects, offering frameworks for collaboration and innovation.
